Intense greenish-brown colour (a natural characteristic of pumpkin seed oil) and a distinctive nutty aroma with a hint of seeds. Its refined flavour profile makes it suitable for both savoury dishes (salads, grains) and sweet dishes (dessert toppings).

The manufacturer states in the nutritional table 41 g of omega-6 fatty acids per 100 ml of oil (linoleic acid, LA).

Intended use

Cooking oil for cold dishes: salads (with rocket, feta, nuts), groats, rice, cottage cheese, spread for bread. A refined addition to desserts – topping for cream ice cream (a nutty contrast to the sweetness). Use only cold – do not heat to preserve the sensory profile. Vegan.

Directions for use

1. As a dressing for salads with rocket, feta and nuts.
2. Drizzle over cream ice cream for a sophisticated dessert contrast.
3. Add to groats, rice or other grains as an aromatic topping.
4. Use as a spread on fresh bread.
5. Mix with quark for a healthy snack.
6. Add to a tomato salad.
7. Use cold – do not heat.

Storage

Store in a dry, cool and dark place. Once opened, store in the fridge for up to 3–4 weeks. The oil may contain natural sediment – this is a characteristic of unrefined pumpkin seed oil, not a defect.
