DRcaps® capsules feature a delayed-release coating made from hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC). They remain intact in the acidic environment of the stomach and dissolve only in the intestine, which protects the sodium butyrate from degradation and reduces the characteristic odour of butyric acid.
