About the product

Silicon is the second most common element in the Earth's crust after oxygen. In nature it occurs mainly as silica, or silicon dioxide. Plants take it up from the soil, and some grasses accumulate particularly large amounts. Bamboo is a giant grass: hard silica deposits sometimes form between the nodes of its shoots, known in India for centuries as tabashir.
