Ziółko Wormwood is the dried herb of wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), a plant from the Asteraceae family with an intensely bitter taste and herbal aroma. It is one of the most recognisable bitter herbs, also known as absinthe, vermouth or wormwood.

The Latin name Artemisia refers to Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt. Wormwood has been used for centuries to flavour traditional drinks such as vermouths and herbal liqueurs, and its bitter infusion is a feature of European herbal tradition. Its distinctive bitterness is the hallmark of this herb.

Directions for use

Pour a glass of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of the herb, cover and leave to steep for 5–10 minutes, then strain. Consume the infusion in moderation, no more than once a day.

Wormwood contains thujone – long-term use or consumption in excessive amounts is not recommended. The product is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or children.
