Better Than Foods Rice-shaped Konjac Noodles are Asian noodles made from the root of the konjac plant (Amorphophallus konjac) in the shape of rice grains – a traditional ingredient in Chinese and Japanese cuisine that has been known there for centuries. Made from konjac flour and oat fibre.
Distinctive feature: 9 kcal/100 g (practically zero calories) and 4 g fibre/100 g – it is a source of fibre (threshold ≥3 g/100 g according to Regulation 1924/2006). No added fat, sugar or salt. The noodles have a neutral taste – they absorb the flavour of added spices, sauces and ingredients, so they taste just like the dish you add them to.

Usage
A versatile substitute for traditional rice in many dishes: sushi bowl with salmon and avocado, Indian vegetable and tofu curry, vegan Spanish paella, Italian risotto (with real Arborio rice added for texture), Thai nasi goreng. Also as a base for colourful vegetable bowls. Vegan, gluten-free.
Instructions
The noodles are ready to eat after preparation. Choose one of the following methods:
- Rinsing – drain in a colander, rinse under cold water, add to the dish (quickest method).
- Boiling – boil for 1 minute, drain, add to the dish.
- Frying – fry for 1 minute in a wok with vegetables, meat or sauce.
Once opened, store the noodles in clean water for up to 2 days.
Storage
Store in a cool place. Do not freeze – freezing damages the structure of konjac noodles.
